Incredible vegan food, the best meat alternatives I’ve found anywhere. Ordered delivery and it arrive fresh and hot. Super tasty! Highly recommend.
Cabbage Soup
We had several dishes from the menu, all with sides. Great recommendations from Delijah the shop manager. They also do vegan and gluten free options which was great for my son. Delivery was quicker than advertised on just eat so that was great. Also the delivery driver was very friendly and helpful. We were advised to order from their website directly in future as there are considerable savings to be made. We will be making this place our regular spot for Chinese food!

We ate Honey Chilli chicken, Cantonese shredded beef and crispy seaweed. Both were really saucy and tasted great. The person handing out the food was also sound too.

I never leave reviews but after having quite a few takeaways from Yummy Cottage now I feel compelled to. We have been vegan for 5 years and this is our favourite takeaway from any restaurant, regardless of the cuisine. All of the vegan options are clearly marked so no room for error on out part. It is better than any vegan restaurant we’ve been to - and we’ve tried every speciality vegan / vegetarian vegan restaurant in the area and many of the well known ones in London. It is simply exemplary. Whether you’re a fan of mock meat (try the fake chicken Thai green chilli or the duck pancakes - amazing!) or you prefer a vegetable based dish you won’t be disappointed. Even our carnivore friends and family could not find fault and were impressed both by the price and the quality. I notice the negative reviews complain about the punctuality of their order, it doesn’t surprise me that they aren’t food related and we’re fortunate not to have had a problem with delivery, always under an hour even during peak times. We’re hooked.

Some great vegan options. My favourites the vegan duck fried rice and the vegan chicken vermicelli. I would also recommend the curry dishes, not too spicy because I can't really handle hot hot and the pepper sauce dishes. Very tasty. Only place I can find that delivers to me that offer vegan meat options.

One of the best takeaways we’ve had in Newcastle. Food was delicious, fast delivery and reasonably priced. The Japanese Katsu Curry was especially delicious and since Yummy Cottage offers both Chinese and Japanese options, it’s a great place when hosting family.

Love this place. Genuine old skool small business trying to provide a quality product. Caring for the product and service they provide. They do it very well. Welcoming staff. Accommodating to changes and the customers needs with no fuss. Reasonable prices. Good sized portions. Fresh, high quality food cooked perfect. That's been my experience everytime I've been. 5 stars isn't enough.

Great food - very tasty. I would definitely recommend ringing the takeaway directly rather than use Just Eat as they did not have a driver and so I had to collect (not takeaway's fault though). It's also much cheaper ringing direct. I recommend the chicken curry and ribs in pekking sauce! Delish.
